Callington music is an innovative and creative music department which strives to develop the musical aspirations of all students who pass through the college.

We are well known and respected for the broad, eclectic musical philosophy that underpins the department's work which places equal value on rock, jazz, classical and world musics.

Over the last two decades the music department at Callington has played an important role in developing community music in the East Cornwall area and has played a role in music education initiatives both in the South West and nationally. Members of the department lead sessions in national conferences and regularly write for national publications.

Through our ground breaking website the work of the department is well known locally, nationally and internationally.
