Music Support Group

The Music Support Group is a group of parents, staff and governors who meet regularly in term time to support musicians and music within the College.

We help set up and run musical events and raise funds to enrich music provision at the College. You're never on your own - there's always a number of us publicising events, helping on the door, providing refreshments and so on.

Over recent years, the Music Support Group has raised enough money to be able to present the College with, amongst other things, a concert grand piano, computer software, sheet music for bands and ensembles, audio/visual equipment and orchestral percussion instruments.

Our next project for fundraising is the purchase of new upright pianos for our music classrooms, and we're always open to new suggestions.

Meetings are relaxed and friendly, and parents who come along feel it is a great way to meet others and to become involved in the life of the College. We have parents with all musical interests, from rock and jazz to classical, and most of us don't play an instrument!
