Gifted and Talented Music students entertain visitors

In March 2011, a Gifted and Talented Open Evening was held at the College

The purpose of the evening was to explain to students and their parents and carers how we identify our Gifted & Talented students, and how we stretch and challenge them in everyday lessons.

A number of groups of musicians and dancers performed to a full hall, and a presentation was given by Gifted & Talented Co-ordinator Mr Jamie Coates.

Following the formal part of the evening, staff and students were on hand to field questions and parents were invited to get involved in interactive displays from departments such as Photography, Design & Technology and Science experiments.

Our Gifted & Talented students took a lead in the evening as they were involved in meeting and greeting, performances before and at the end of the presentation and then by helping with subject displays.
