Music College Hosts the Pearl Of Africa

Callington Community College were lucky enough to host the Pearl of Africa Children's Choir on the 10th November 2011.

The group, made up of orphans from Uganda are currently doing a UK tour.  As part of this, they do music workshops during the day followed by a free evening concert from which all donations go towards the upkeep of the orphanages.  The daytime workshops at the secondary school were attended by students from the college itself as well as 4 local primary schools and as for the evening concert, well it really was spectacular and very well attended, with over 100 people in the school's main hall.  By the end the whole hall was up dancing, quite a spectacle!
