RAF Band Perform at College

Charge of the Light Brigade, Star Wars, The Simpsons, you name it, they played it

And they played it very, very well!

Callington Community College students were treated to a musical master-class from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force last Tuesday, who are currently doing a short tour of Westcountry schools.

Led by conductor Richard Skelton, the band played through a wide range of musical styles and dazzled the students with their virtuosity.  The opportunity to see such a professional band in full swing was really something and the band was great at getting everyone involved.

For the last number of the performance, a handful of lucky students were able to perform with the band on a variety of percussion instruments, playing along while performing a ‘can-can' around the room!  Thanks to the RAF band for putting on such a great performance, they were brilliant.
